Quality: Arapaline fully complies with Australian Standard AS 4142.3-1993 Man-made fibre rope for static life rescue lines and has a minimum breaking load of 3000 kgf (11-mm).

Elongation:
The elongation of Arapaline has been designed to minimise shock loads for greater safety and versatility in rescue applications.

Abrasion resistance:
Arapaline has a diamond braid sheath delivering higher abrasion resistance and superior protection critical in rescue and abseiling applications.

Melting Point:
Arapaline has a melting point of 250oC delivering superior heat performance.

Resistance:
Arapaline is resistant to organic solvents and weak organic and mineral acids. If the rope comes into contact with any chemicals it should be retired from service immediately. Arapaline is UV stabilised to combat the harmful effects of the harsh Australian climatic conditions.

Sensitivity:
Arapaline is sensitive to phenols, strong acids and is dissolved by concentrated formic acid.

Reaction to Flame:
Arapaline ignites when in contact with flame and will support combustion.

Washing:
Arapaline may be hand washed using natural soap flakes in warm or cold water, cleaning the rope with a nylon or polypropylene scrubbing brush. Rinse thoroughly with cold water and drip dry. Arapaline may be machine washed in a front loading washing machine using natural soap flakes in warm or cold water. Fabric softener may be added during washing. Run an extra cold water rinse cycle and drip dry.

Shelf life:
Arapaline Life Rescue Lines stored unused in a well ventilated, dry atmosphere, away from heat, strong light and damaging chemicals (ideal conditions) have a shelf life of 7 years. Arapaline Life Rescue Lines stored unused in non-ideal conditions, eg, inside vehicles and therefore exposed to high temperatures have a shelf life of 3.5 years.

Storage:
Arapaline should be stored in a cool, well ventilated dry store and never in closed containers. Arapaline should be stacked on wooden grading or racks, or special pegs on stands. The cord should not be exposed to weather or direct sunlight. When storing Arapaline, ensure they are stored away from heavy objects, which may fall and damage the rope, chemicals or other liquids, which may leak and sources of sparks.
Arapaline should not be stored under conditions of high heat or excessively drying atmospheres.
Arapaline should never be dried in front of a fire or store near a stove or other source of heat.
