  POLYETHELENE MONO ROPE

Monofilament Ropes are manufactured from high density polyethylene monofilament fibres, which results in a strong durable abrasion resistant rope that floats on water. A strand construction is used for improved strength and abrasion resistance.

APPLICATIONS:
General purpose
Tent guys
Head lines
Foot ropes
Truck nets
Tarpaulin ties

Strength: polyethylene monofilament ropes are strong and their strength is not affected by water.

Elongation:
Approximately 40% extension at break.

Abrasion resistance:
polyethylene monofilament ropes have excellent abrasion resistance. Polyethylene monofilament ropes resist external wear well and have a smooth glossy finish.

Specific gravity:
polyethylene monofilament ropes have a specific gravity of 0.95g/cm3 and therefore float in water easily.

Resistance to:
polyethylene monofilament ropes is resistant to most acids, alkalis, grease, oils and organic solvents. polyethylene monofilament ropes are UV stabilised to combat the harmful effects of the harsh Australian climatic conditions.

Sensitivity:
polyethylene monofilament ropes performance is effected by marine fuels care should by taken to avoid the ropes contacting such liquids.

Reaction to Flame:
polyethylene monofilament ropes ignite when in contact with flame and support combustion.

Storage:
polyethylene monofilament ropes should be stored in a cool, well ventilated dry store and never in closed containers.
polyethylene monofilament ropes should be stacked on wooden grading or racks, or special pegs on stands. The rope should not be exposed to weather or direct sunlight.
When storing polyethylene monofilament ropes, ensure they are stored away from heavy objects, which may fall and damage the rope, chemicals or other liquids, which may leak and sources of sparks.
Polyethylene monofilament ropes should not be stored under condition of high heat or excessively drying atmospheres.
Polyethylene monofilament ropes should never be dried in front of a fire or stored near a stove or other source of heat.
