The design is simple. Three precision
roller bearing sheaves are mounted in a rigid frame.
The rope to be monitored is threaded through the
sheaves. As tension increases the centre sheave
applies pressure against the load pin load cell. This
force is transmitted as an electrical signal to the
display as a direct reading of the line tension. |
